DAY 1 – The final meeting begins!

The last transnational meeting of the ERASMUS + LANSEN – Learning Languages with Sense(s) project has officially started, and Day 1 was filled with creativity, collaboration, and a true European spirit.

Partners were warmly welcomed at IES José Luis Martínez Palomo headmaster, Almudena Sánchez Campuzano, who greeted all teachers and students and set the atmosphere for a meaningful and engaging week ahead.

Then, the Spanish students introduced us to the beautiful city of Murcia, presenting how the different senses can be explored throughout the city – seeing, hearing, tasting, toughing, and feeling culture in everyday life. In fact, this first activity concluded with a vibrant traditional dance form Murcia, proudly performed by the host students, Iara and Nuria.

DAY 3 – Discovering Cartagena and the Mar Menor!

The third day of the final meeting of the ERASMUS + LANSEN – Learning Languages with Sense(s) took students and teachers on an inspiring journey beyond Murcia to explore the historic city of Cartagena.

The day began with a visit to the city, where participants had time to walk through the streets and enjoy some free time while discovering the unique atmosphere of the Mediterraean port city.

One of the highlights of the visit was the Roman Theatre of Cartagena, where students received a contextual and historical explanation about this impressive archaelogical site and its importance in the history of the region.

The exploration continued with a boat tour around Cartagena’s bay, where participants learned about the city’s strategic and economic importance, particularly its long tradition in the construction of submarines and military vessels.

Later in the day, the group travelled to the Mar Menor. After an introduction to the bay, its ecosystem, and the local fauna, students were challenged to design an interactive route to help future visitors discover the area. using their senses, they observed the surrounding environment – the sea, the bay, the salt flats – and created  questions and observations to guide others through this unique natural landscape.

Once again, the day perfectly reflected the spirit of the LANSEN project.

Day 4 – Literature, creativity and nature in the LANSEN project!

The fourth day of the final meeting of the ERASMUS + LANSEN – Learning Languages with Sense(s) project brought together literature, creativity, and environmental awareness.

The day began with a presentation by students from Murcia, who summarized the different chapters of the famous book The Little Prince. This introduction helped set the context for the activities that followed.

Participants then shared a special moment by reading a short excerpt from the book in all the different languages represented in the room (Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, German, Bulgarian, Arabic, Sign language, etc) – highlighting the beauty of linguistic diversity and the European spirit of the project. The reading was followed by a questionnaire where students had to answer questions about different chapters in English and French, directed by Pablo (philosophy teacher), Gema Bueno (French teacher) and Eloína (Spanish and Universal Literature teacher).

Students then worked in international groups on creative book marks inspired by The Little Prince. Through drawings and visual interpretations, they recreated meaningful phrases from the book while emphasizing the importance of the human senses, a central theme of the LANSEN project.

The day concluded with international groups presenting slide presentations about the natural importance of the Mar Menor, reflecting on its environmental value and the need to protect this unique ecosystem.

Day 5 – Celebrating an unforgettable week!

The final day of the ERASMUS + LANSEN – Learning Languages with Sense(s) meeting in Spain brought together reflection, creativity, and heartfelt goodbyes after an intense and inspiring week.

Students continued their work in international groups, conducting interviews with each other to reflect on their experiences during the week, sharing their thoughts, memories, and the most meaningful moments of the mobility.

We had students in three groups who were rotating. Firstly, a group worked in a dubbing workshop, where they voiced short scenes from series and films in English, Spanish and French, exploring languages in a fun and interactive way. The second group worked on the organization of their videos, recorded along the week. Finally, the third group recorded short interviews about their experiences in this amazing project.

The day ended with a special Goodbye Event, where the Spanish team expressed their gratitude and warmly said farewell to all students and teachers who participated in this final meeting. The ceremony was followed by a nice picnic enjoying Murcia’s sun where students could take the last pictures and say goodbye to their friends. Hugs, kisses and some tears confirmed it was a life experience to them.

A week full of collaboration, cultural exchange, creativity, and friendship comes to an end- but the memories and the impact of the LANSEN project will continue far beyond this meeting.
