The third day of the project took place at the Education and Congress Center in Gliwice. We had the opportunity to attend lectures on fractals, titled “Fractals: The Algorithmic Aesthetic of Infinity”, presented by Prof. Andrzej Katunin, as well as “Words Shape Worlds: How Language Shapes What We See and Understand”, conducted by Dr. Aleksandra Budzisz. Next, Joanna Hanak and Katarzyna Wojewódka introduced us to the topic of studying at the Silesian University of Technology, and we took part in a quiz with prizes organized by them.

Afterward, we went to the Creativity Center, where we participated in workshops called “Poland Makes Sense”, led by Katarzyna Dudek, MA, and Maria Nowicka, MA. Divided into groups, foreign students learned about Poland and its traditions by completing various challenges related to Polish customs.

The second workshop focused on the structure and functioning of the brain, titled “Unlocking Language Learning”, which was presented by Jacek Pradela, MA.

At the end of the day, we all had lunch together at the student canteen, where our international guests had the chance to experience the flavors of Polish cuisine.
