France day 2

Tuesday 18th November – Sensory Immersion and Cultural Discovery

The second day was devoted to an immersive field experience in Saint-Philippe, with a visit to the Spice Garden. Through a guided tour and a “5 Senses” thematic pathway, partners discovered the rich olfactory heritage of Réunion Island and its emblematic spices.

Hands-on workshops entitled “Réunion Island: a Spicy Island” enabled participants to connect local biodiversity with language learning and intercultural education.

After lunch at La Case Volcan, the group continued with a visit to the volcano, offering a spectacular panoramic journey through the island. Beyond its cultural dimension, this outing reinforced the strong link between territory, senses and pedagogy, which lies at the heart of the LANSEN project. The return to Saint-Pierre in the late afternoon concluded a day combining experiential learning and cultural enrichment.
